Janessa and Cameron had reached out to me back in November with the dreams of having a June wedding at a family friend’s property in June. Unfortunately, there was a family emergency and Janessa called me in January asking what could be done to change their plans. They wanted to get married as soon as they were back in town from being with family.
I was insistent that they take the time they needed with family and reach out once they had a plan in mind, I would be as flexible as they needed me to be. Come February, they called with a plan. They were going to be married at the Denver Courthouse on March 14, 2024. They had a judge, their hair and makeup artist, and wanted to confirm that I was available.
Well, they made these plans and sure enough, the biggest snow storm of the winter rolled through Denver on March 13th and 14th and they once again had to change their plans. Janessa and Cameron were so incredibly calm, collected, and patient as they restructured what they thought would be their day. With luck, the hotel they were staying at, The Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, allowed them to have their intimate ceremony on site.
I arrived at their hotel room on March 15, 2024 and they were ready, finally, to get married! We took fun photos throughout the hotel. Janessa was excited about the the vintage and old-timey Hollywood feel of the hotel and I could see her excitement as I showed her sneak peeks throughout their photoshoot! The hotel was perfect for their intimate day.
After the photo session, and surrounded by the few family members that could make it, Janessa and Cameron exchanged emotional vows in a hotel hallway. Their ceremony was on Zoom for all of the family and friends that could not make the trip. Hugs and tears were had and then we went out to pop champagne and take a few more photos.
Although their day didn’t go as planned, Janessa and Cameron shared nothing but smiles and love throughout their elopement. At the end of the day, all that matters is that you are marrying your person. It was an imperfectly perfect day.
Hi my name is Megan!! My husband, Nick, and I got married last July 8, 2023 in larkspur Colorado at Perry Park Golf and Country club. I wanted to reach out because on our big day last July 8 our photo session after the ceremony where we took our bridals just the two of us were very rushed and we got hardly any pictures of just us. It was really disheartening and has been weighing on me for awhile now. I had the idea recently, since we are going back this year the weekend of July 6, to recapture some of those pictures we never got to take. Pictures mean everything to me and I was thinking we could put my dress and his suit back on and take some of those photos we wished we got on our big day back at the spot we were married, Perry Park Golf and Country Club. We would love for you to take them if you are available that day!
